Monaco highlights
A lot of people visit Nice so they can take a short day trip to Monte Carlo, Monaco. Known for it’s luxurious lifestyle and iconic motorsport street circuit, Monaco is a must-do when visiting Nice. Take the short train direct to Monte-Carlo and we recommend using x’s free online walking tour to explore the city and country all in one go!
Along the way you’ll stroll Monaco’s Harbour which is home to some of the world’s most luxurious yachts, as well as visit the world-famous grand Monte Carlo Casino.
Make sure not to miss the old town, which boasts beautiful views across Monaco and out along the coast, as well as the official residence of the Prince of Monaco - the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. Finish the day with a souvenir passport stamp in the tourist information centre in the train station.
